"Tje Austin Alldredge was born in 1983 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Adopted from birth by a Mormon couple, he was the fourth child to a family that soon grew to be a family of eleven. His interest in music stemmed from his parents' love of country music and oldies rock, and gradually evolved to rhythm and blues.
"Tje Austin moved to Austin, Texas in the summer of 2001 to attend the University of Texas-Austin though he didn't consider pursing music until 2004. He had always written songs in his high school years, but he felt if he purchased a guitar, he would further develop his "afro-hawaiian" sound.
In 2007 he began to perform downtown in Austin, at such venues as Ventana del Sol, Seattle's Best and other coffee shops. Most recently he has been seen at the Light Bar, the Driskill Hotel Lounge, as well as lending his mellow sound to the Urban Music Fest this early April 2008.
With influences from Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, Amos Lee, India Arie, Brian McKnight and Craig David he continues to finish his highly anticipated first cd, titled Love Me Knots, that features a variety of local talent, with thoughts from Neo Soul poet Mizz Lizz, as well as vocals from the soulful songstress Tenaya"
